Job summary

Arcare is seeking a compassionate physician to join our medical provider team. In this role, you will diagnose and treat illnesses, provide high-quality medical services, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO from an accredited school, a current Arkansas license, CPR certification, and residency in the service area. This is a part-time position focused on patient well-being and community health.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current Arkansas medical license.
• Experience as a physician preferred.
• CPR certification required upon employment or within the first 3 months of employment.
• Must reside in the service area.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe or administer treatments, medications, vaccines, and other care to treat or prevent illness.
• Order, perform, and interpret medical tests to diagnose conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records including medical history and results.
• Explain procedures, test results, and treatments to patients and families.
• Advise on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Refer patients to specialists when needed.
• Coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, and staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
