Job summary

Arcare is seeking a compassionate Physician to join our medical provider team in a part-time capacity. You will diagnose and treat patients, work with a multi-disciplinary team, and ensure high-quality care across services.

Qualified candidates have an MD or DO, Arkansas license, CPR certification, and reside in the service area. Experience is preferred, and a strong commitment to patient well-being is essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Current medical license in the state of Arkansas.
  • Experience as a physician preferred.
  • CPR certification required upon employment or within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Must reside in the service area.

Responsibilities

  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Order, perform, and interpret medical tests, and analyze records to diagnose conditions.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Explain medical procedures, test results, and treatments to patients and families.
  • Advise patients on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Refer patients to specialists when needed.
  • Coordinate and direct activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
