Job summary

Metric Engineering, Inc. in Central Florida is hiring a Part-Time Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) Operator for the 1:45pm - 10:15pm shift to monitor roadways and provide traveler information. The RTMC uses cameras, dynamic message signs and FDOT software to coordinate with agencies, dispatch Road Rangers, and promote quick clearance while leveraging CV and freeway management tech. Must be able to work weekdays and weekends; drug screen and FBI background check required.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills required.
• Teamwork, prioritization and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must pass a Drug Screen and FBI background check.
• Dispatch, customer service and first-responder experience is a plus.
• Shift availability: 1:45pm–10:15pm; weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with partnering agencies to expedite incident response.
• Monitor roads using ITS software and FDOT systems.
• Dispatch Road Rangers and support traffic operations.
