Job summary

OU Health is seeking a part-time Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RRT) for the OU Physicians Advanced Lung Diseases Clinic in Oklahoma City. The role administers prescribed respiratory therapies, manages life support equipment, and mentors peers under medical direction.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from a Respiratory Care Program accredited by the CoARC is required.
• 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.
• Licenses/Certifications: RCP and RRT required; BLS required; ALS required within 3 months; PALS and neonatal resuscitation requirements if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed respiratory therapies.
• Maintains life support equipment and monitors treatments.
• Acts as resource for medical staff and mentors peers.
• Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic tests and monitoring.
• Provides patient age-appropriate care and educates care teams.
• Ensures respiratory equipment is cleaned and properly maintained.
• Maintains Respiratory therapy records and participates in data collection.
