Job summary

Jackson Ridge Healthcare Center in Maquoketa, IA seeks dedicated part-time registered nurses or licensed practical nurses. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote safety, dignity, and quality of life for every resident.
• Respond to changes in resident condition and advocate for their needs.
• Coordinate with CNAs, LPNs, RNs, physicians, therapy staff, and families.
• Administer medications and treatments with accuracy and professionalism.
• Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents in a homelike environment.
• Chart nurses notes reflecting care provided and residents' responses.
• Maintain liaison with residents, families, and departments to plan for needs.
• Answer telephone and call lights when needed.

We are looking for a positive, up-beat, team player to help round out our team. Part-time shifts - day or evening - are available. At Jackson Ridge Healthcare our residents are family - and our nurses are the heartbeat of our care. You'll build deep, meaningful relationships with residents while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment that truly values your compassion and expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Promote safety, dignity, and quality of life for every resident
• Respond to changes in resident condition and advocate for their needs
• Coordinate with CNAs, LPNs, RNs, physicians, therapy staff, and families
• Administer medications and treatments with accuracy and professionalism
• Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents in a homelike environment
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Chart nurses notes in an informative descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident's response to the care.
• The ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Maintain a liaison with the residents, their families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for the residents' needs.
• Answer telephone and call lights when needed

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN License in Iowa
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification (CPR certification offered bi-annually)
• Positive attitude, empathy, and the ability to lead by example
