Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Iowa.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification ( CPR certification offered bi-annually ).
• Positive attitude, empathy, and ability to lead by example.
• Strong assessment and time-management skills.
• Genuine passion for working with older adults.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety, dignity, and quality of life for every resident.
• Respond to changes in resident condition and advocate for their needs.
• Coordinate with CNAs, LPNs, RNs, physicians, therapy staff, and families.
• Administer medications and treatments with accuracy and professionalism.
• Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents in a homelike environment.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Chart nurse's notes in an informative descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident's response to the care.
• The ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Maintain a liaison with the residents, their families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for the residents' needs.
• Answer telephone and call lights when needed
