Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon seeks an RN Wound Care for a part-time shift in the Wound & Ostomy Services department. The role focuses on wound and ostomy care, wound assessment, and collaboration with the wound nurse to promote healing and prevent skin breakdown.

The RN will support patient and family-centered care, communicate effectively with the care team, and participate in education and continuous improvement activities within SCHS.

Qualifications

• Current valid Oregon RN license required.
• 1 year of acute wound care experience required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Preferred: ABWM orWOCNCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound and ostomy care per direction of the wound/ostomy nurse.
• Assess patient's condition and implement nursing actions.
• Collaborate with care team and educate staff.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Perform stand-by call as assigned.
