Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to support wound and ostomy care in accordance with hospital policies and Oregon nursing practice laws. The role includes direct patient care, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to quality and confidentiality standards.

The candidate will have an active Oregon RN license, BLS, and at least one year of acute wound care experience, with a preferred WOC/ostomy certification. A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Current valid Oregon RN license.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (BLS).
• One year experience in an acute wound care setting.
• Driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Preferred: Board Certified Wound Care or Ostomy Care Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles and applies them per policies and procedures.
• Provides wound and ostomy care for patients under supervision of wound ostomy nurse.
• Communicates effectively with the care team and supports patient and family.
• Calculates dosages and administers medications according to policy (if applicable).
