Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing the day to day functions of the nursing activities.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures governing the nursing service department.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with procedures and maintain current reference materials.
• Make reports/recommendations to the Director concerning operation of the nursing service department.
• Participate in the facility's quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Review and supervise patient care plans, and coordinate with physicians and family members.
