Job summary

The role emphasizes addressing physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs within a diverse patient population and coordinating with patients and families on care plans. The position requires specialized nursing education, an active PA RN license, BLS, and strong collaboration within nursing and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma in nursing from an accredited school.
• Active RN license in state of practice.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and cultural awareness.
• Effective communication and appropriate delegation to team members.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, families and staff to deliver patient-centered care.
• Partners with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide education.
• Uses information systems to document care and monitor outcomes.
• Works within inter-professional teams to ensure safe, compassionate care.
• Participates in safety and quality initiatives and seeks ongoing professional growth.
• Acts as a preceptor for appropriate staff members.
