Job summary

Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas is seeking a Part-Time RN for Mt Pleasant, TX to provide direct patient care in the ophthalmology setting. You will support pre-op and post-op care, monitor patients, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia to maintain safety and comfort.

Requirements include a nursing degree, Colorado RN license, ACLS within 90 days, and BLS preferred; we offer Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with generous match, life and disability, EAP, generous time off, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado.
• Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Current BCLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patient.
• Address psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care in the surgical environment.
• Assist with maintenance of PRE-OP/PACU equipment and inventory.
• Monitor patient’s physiological status in pre/postoperative environment.
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient conditions.
• Demonstrate airway management knowledge and equipment use.
• Carry out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments and procedures.
• Coordinate patient care and educate patient/family as necessary.
• Protect patient privacy and sensitivities.
