Job summary

Panorama Eyecare in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Op and PACU to support our ophthalmology surgery center. You will provide expert nursing care before and after procedures, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an active Colorado RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2 years of relevant experience. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and holds a Colorado RN license (proof required).
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications completed within 3 months of employment.
• Two years of pre-operative, recovery room, ICU or emergency room experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert professional nursing care during pre- and post-operative phases.
• Assesses, implements and evaluates patient care; ensures patient is prepared for discharge with education for patient and caregiver.
• Performs pre-op calls to ensure NPO status, transportation, medications, and other instructions.
• Documents care appropriately and maintains accurate medical records (NextGen EMR).
• Maintains inventory control and monitors supplies during patient stay.
• Communicates with other health care team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Assists with pre-op preparation, admission for surgery or laser procedures, and discharge planning.
