Job summary

Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas is seeking a part-time RN to provide direct patient care in a busy ophthalmology setting. You will monitor patients before and after procedures, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia, and help maintain PRE-OP/PACU equipment while ensuring privacy and compassionate patient interactions.

The role requires active RN licensure and ACLS/BCLS as applicable, with ability to obtain missing certifications within a defined timeframe.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state specified in job posting or as required by law.
• ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• BCLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care throughout the surgical environment.
• Monitor patients’ physiological status in pre-op and post-op settings.
• Communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists about patient conditions.
• Assist with maintenance of PRE-OP/PACU equipment and inventory.
• Practice medical/surgical asepsis during treatments and procedures.
• Educate patient and family about care and treatments.
