Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) General Purpose to supervise day-to-day nursing activities during the shift, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations. The role involves oversight of nursing operations, policy maintenance, and coordination with staff to uphold high-quality resident care.

The RN will ensure manuals and reference materials are current, participate in quality assurance activities, and assist with discharge planning and coordination

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing activities in the facility.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
• Ensure nursing references and guidelines are current at nurses' stations.
• Keep the Nursing Service Procedures Manual current and ensure staff compliance.
• Report to the Director on nursing service operations as needed.
• Coordinate nursing services with resident care to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in the facility's quality assurance program and regulatory surveys.
• Assist in discharge planning and planning the nursing portion of resident discharges.
