Job summary

The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is seeking a Registered Nurse to support evidence-based chronic disease programs. You will provide clinical oversight, participant education, and health monitoring for individuals managing diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and arthritis.

The position is part-time and requires NJ RN licensure, CPR/AED, and First Aid. Prior community health experience is preferred, with flexible scheduling and collaboration with program staff.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Jersey
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required
• 1–2 years clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Part-time, flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-program health screenings and review medical history
• Monitor participant health during programs and respond to medical concerns
• Ensure programs follow health, safety, and risk guidelines
• Maintain confidential health documentation per HIPAA
