Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Center for Nursing Entrepreneurship. The role involves performing biometric screenings, coaching for lifestyle and disease management, and administering flu vaccines at employer sites across Monroe County.

Required are an RN with CPR, NYS licensure, and 2 years of related experience; 3–5 years in adult nursing is preferred. Wellcoaches certification should be obtained within one year for PT/FT staff.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate prepared RN with current CPR certification; NYS RN license required.
• 2 years related nursing experience required; 3–5 years in adult nursing preferred.
• Specialty certification desirable or equivalent education/experience.
• Wellcoaches certification due within one year for PT and FT staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and biometric screenings at employer sites across Monroe and surrounding counties.
• Conduct 1:1 coaching and counseling for chronic conditions or wellness goals.
• Deliver influenza vaccination services and CDC-aligned education.
• Perform 1:1 and group coaching using evidence-based practice and coaching models.
• Refer clients to appropriate programs and ensure patient safety with critical thinking.
• Travel daily to client sites and maintain autonomous nursing practice.
