Job summary

Metro YMCAs is seeking a Registered Nurse for the West Essex YMCA to support chronic disease programs with clinical oversight and participant education. This part-time role includes health monitoring, safety compliance, and collaboration with program staff.

The RN will conduct screenings, document health information, and reinforce healthy lifestyle practices while coordinating with instructors and staff to adapt activities for varying health needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Jersey (state-registered).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience, preferably in community health or chronic disease management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a part-time, flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-program health screenings and review participant medical history.
• Monitor participant health status during programs and respond to medical concerns.
• Maintain health documentation in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Provide health education on chronic disease prevention and management.
