Job summary

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Retreat and Spirituality Center is seeking a part-time Retreat Host (25 hours per week) to assist with planning, organization, and execution of private and group retreats and events in Venice, FL. The role reports to the Operations Manager and is hourly/nonexempt.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in customer service or hospitality, strong communication and teamwork, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma; AA or Bachelor’s preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
1-2 years of experience in customer service or hospitality.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to work weekdays, holidays, and weekends.
Prefer candidate with understanding of Catholic religion.
Must pass Level II FDLE background check.

Responsibilities

Answers telephone calls, greets guests, and provides information on services.
Prepares for incoming Private and Group retreatants; serves as retreat host.
Processes submitted donations and Mass Intentions and provide.
Maintains database of constituent contact information.
Assists with planning and communication of events including monthly, bi-annual, and annual retreats.
Provides sales assistance in gift shop including transactions, inventorying/pricing, and displays.
Assists with other duties as assigned.
