Job summary

Family Dollar in Yuma, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help ensure a clean, safe environment for customers and associates.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, payroll/scheduling duties, and maintaining promotional displays while upholding company policies. This is a part-time position with opportunities to supervise and train staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail/store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Follow policies and safety guidelines and train/store associates as needed.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors clean, and trash taken out.
