Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development in Page, Arizona. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise transfers, stockroom organization, and adherence to corporate directives while maintaining a safe and welcoming store environment.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and leadership skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications for store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and ensure safety guidelines are followed by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
