Job summary

Allied Universal in Ontario, CA is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time First Aid Readiness) to safeguard clients across retail environments. You will maintain a visible security presence, assist shoppers and staff, and respond to incidents with calm judgment while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (Wed, Thur, Fri 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) and pays $18.54 per hour.

Qualifications

CPR certification is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail areas to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and report unusual conditions and policy violations.
Complete required activity reports and shift communications accurately and timely.
