Job summary

Allied Universal in Ontario, CA is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time First Aid Readiness) to safeguard clients across retail environments. You will maintain a visible security presence, assist shoppers and staff, and respond to incidents with calm judgment while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (Wed, Thur, Fri 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) and pays $18.54 per hour.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.


• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, entrances, exterior areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.


• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.


• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
