Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Emergency Response in Ontario, CA. The role is part-time with a schedule including daytime shifts and weekends.

You will monitor, patrol, and secure retail locations, respond to incidents, and help customers and tenants with a professional, service-oriented approach. Ideal candidates hold CPR/First Aid, a Guard Card, and a high school diploma, and are at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening per policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by implementing security procedures and emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, stockrooms, entrances, exits, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by giving directions, assisting visitors, and documenting daily activities accurately.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with visitor inquiries, and documenting daily activities and incidents accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
