Job summary

ScanScape is seeking part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit local stores and scan product barcodes using a mobile app. The base hours average 2–3 hours per week per store, with additional hours for special projects.

This on-site role offers flexible scheduling, paid travel at the hourly rate (minus first and last 15 minutes), and 401(k) eligibility with employer matching. Responsibilities include in-store data collection and barcode scanning across multiple retailer types, with year-round

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi and be tech savvy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks per year.
• Scan barcodes on displays and in aisle locations using a mobile app.
• Provide quantities for about 45% of scanned products; complete weekly tasks and deadlines.
• Work across grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores for major retailers.
