Job summary

ScanScape is hiring a part-time Retail Scan Associate to visit a selection of local stores each week to scan product barcodes using a mobile app. You will support data collection across grocery, pet, and other retailers, with about 12-16 hours weekly plus occasional extra projects.

Flexible hours and paid travel, with eligibility for 401(k) matching and a referral program. Candidates must be 18+, have a driver's license, reliable vehicle, and be comfortable standing and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure standing for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet high, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for long periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi‑Fi; tech savvy.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit designated local retailers each week for data collection.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes throughout stores.
• Provide quantity for about 45% of scanned products.
• Complete in-store scanning weekly; meet deadlines for data delivery.
• Handle additional Custom Projects that add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store during busy weeks.
• Enjoy independence in the workplace with flexible hours.
