Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit local retailers and scan product barcodes weekly. The role offers flexibility in hours and a stable schedule across Bay Minette stores, with some travel and ongoing projects throughout the year.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a valid license, reliable vehicle, and comfortable with standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and using a mobile scanning app. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• In-store data collection by scanning barcodes across stores.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes and report quantities for ~45% of products.
• Work 3–4 hours per week per store, with extra hours for special projects.
• Maintain reliability with weekly deadlines and travel when required.
• Support multiple store types including grocery, drug, and mass merchandise.
