Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit local stores weekly for in-store data collection, scanning barcodes on displays and aisles to help improve sales performance.

You will use a mobile app to scan barcodes, collect data across grocery, convenience, drug and other retailers, and you may work 2–4.5 hours per week plus additional hours for special projects, with more activity January through June. Flexibility and independence are emphasized.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• In-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
• Scan barcodes using a downloadable app on a mobile phone and report the quantity for about 45% of products scanned.
• Complete Display Scanning across the entire store weekly, which can take several hours.
• Custom Projects beyond standard scanning, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours in some weeks.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines with dependable, quality-driven work for client data deliveries.
