Job summary

Pendleton Woolen Mills Inc in Troutdale, OR is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Keyholder (20 hours per week) to help lead the store team. You will support sales goals, deliver outstanding service, manage opening/closing, and assist with visual merchandising.

Candidates should have 2+ years in retail sales with at least 1 year in a supervisory or shift-lead role, strong communication, and comfort with POS and inventory software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail sales/customer service experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or shift-lead role.
• Strong communication skills—able to connect with customers and team members.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a passion for helping others.
• Tech-friendly: POS systems, inventory software, and MS Office.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to meet physical demands of retail (standing/walking, lifting up to 40 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Support the store in achieving sales goals and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Open and close the store independently and ensure readiness and security during each shift.
• Create and execute daily plans while communicating priorities with the team.
• Encourage positive selling behaviors and maintain a high-energy, customer-first environment.
• Ensure visual merchandising and store housekeeping standards are met.
• Monitor and respond to store communications, including email and directives.
• Complete sales transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Identify problems quickly and propose solutions for ongoing improvement.
• Support ongoing training and team development.
