Job summary

Pendleton Woolen Mills, Inc. seeks a Part-time Retail Sales Keyholder (20 hours/week) for the Columbia Gorge Outletstore in Troutdale, OR. The role combines sales, supervision, and daily store operations in a high-energy, customer-focused environment.

You will lead customer experiences, manage opening/closing duties, and support merchandising while collaborating with a team dedicated to Pendleton’s heritage and product quality. Flexible hours and team growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail sales/customer service experience; 1 year in a supervisory/shift-lead role recommended.
• Strong communication skills—connect with customers and team members.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a passion for helping others.
• Tech-savvy with POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support store in achieving sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Open and close the store independently and ensure security during shifts.
• Create and execute daily plans; communicate priorities to the team.
• Encourage positive selling behaviors and maintain a high-energy, customer-first environment.
• Ensure visual merchandising and store housekeeping standards are met.
• Monitor and respond to store communications (email and directives).
• Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Identify problems quickly and escalate when needed.
• Support ongoing training and team development.
