Job summary

The Salvation Army Durango Store in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Sales Associate / Material Handler for a part-time, on-site role. You will greet customers, stock merchandised items, maintain cleanliness, handle POS transactions, and assist donors with receipts while upholding TSA policies.

Responsibilities include inventory receiving, quality checks, safety compliance, and participation in monthly store meetings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and donors warmly and providing prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stocking priced items ready to be merchandised on the sales floor.
• Assist in maintaining the store and donation area, keeping it clean, neat, and organized; perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow POS/Cash Register Policies in accordance with TSA Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend required Monthly Store Meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently.
• Provide Quality Assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
• Help donors unload items from their vehicle and provide receipts.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as instructed by Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
