Qualifications

• Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity required
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice
• Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy required, or an FPGEC certificate from NABP
• No experience required.
• Strong computer skills

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care and designs medication therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication use and safety.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions.
• Participates in medical emergency management when applicable.
• Supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Prepares, dispenses, and oversees storage and handling of medications.
• Acts as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.
• Directs and checks the work of pharmacy staff to ensure safety and efficiency workflows.
