Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a pharmacist for a full-time role split between the Oconomowoc site and floating to other Aurora locations in Wisconsin. Responsibilities include overseeing pharmaceutical care, counseling patients, and managing medication therapy regimens.

Licensure in state of practice, immunization certification, and ACPE-accredited degree are required. No experience is necessary; opportunities exist for mentorship and professional growth within a comprehensive health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy required, or an FPGEC certificate from NABP
• Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity required
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens
• Provides counseling to patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects, and proper use
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions
• Participates in medical emergencies when applicable
• Supports medication safety and quality improvement activities
• Mentors pharmacy teammates and assists with performance evaluation
