Job summary

Family Dollar in Tarrant, Alabama is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and safe.

The ideal candidate has excellent customer service, strong communication and organizational skills, and can lift 30–50 lbs. This is a part-time position with flexible shifts and opportunities to grow within the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform related physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Stock and replenish merchandise; keep the store clean.
• Unload trucks and restock stock per productivity standards.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and colleagues.
