Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to join our Tanner, Alabama team. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness while delivering friendly service.

You’ll work with a team to ensure a safe, organized shopping experience, manage merchandise deliveries, and support store operations with reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
