Job summary

Family Dollar in Duncan, AZ is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, replenish stock, keep clean facilities, and help unload trucks as needed.

This role emphasizes friendly, professional interactions with customers and team members, safety, and reliable attendance. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, and minimal lifting of 30–50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions
• Keep store clean and presentable including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
