Job summary

Family Dollar in Yuma, AZ is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide an outstanding shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment.

You’ll also assist with stocking, receiving shipments, and upholding safety and customer care standards. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with prior customer service in retail or related fields preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required
• Strong organizational and communication skills required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks, stock replenishment
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation
• Other duties as assigned
