Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Nashville store team, delivering a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, keep the store clean and safe, and work with teammates to meet productivity standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior retail or service experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent movement.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste areas.
