Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience in our Jacksonville store. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, and help unload merchandise.

This role emphasizes friendly interactions, cash security, stock replenishment, and maintaining a clean, safe store. Part-time hours apply, with opportunities to grow and contribute to a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Assist unloading trucks and replenish stock per standards.
• Provide a safe, respectful environment with friendly interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
