Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to join our store in Harrisonburg, LA. You will assist customers with questions, handle transactions at the register, and help with stocking and merchandise recovery while ensuring a clean, safe store.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, restocking, and delivering friendly, professional service to customers and associates alike. Prior retail or service experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or related field is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and physical tasks.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Stock shelves, unload trucks, and replenish merchandise per standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
