Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Dedham, MA store. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, and maintain secure cash handling processes while ensuring a clean, organized store environment.

The role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and reliable teamwork. This is a part-time position with opportunities to contribute to daily store operations and merchandising tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
