Job summary

Family Dollar in Waltham, MA is hiring a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help stock the store.

The role requires excellent communication, reliability, and the ability to lift 30-50 lbs. You will keep the store clean, safe, and well-presented, while following store procedures and policies.

We value teamwork and a friendly attitude; prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and other physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
