Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience at our Brentwood store. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, protect assets, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked environment.

The role also involves stocking, receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and supporting teammates while ensuring safety and a friendly atmosphere for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store customer service experience highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
