Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Winchester, VA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

This part-time position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers and teammates while maintaining safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
