Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Virginia LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help maintain stock and store safety.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills, with ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Part-time position based in Harrisonburg, VA with benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restrooms stocked, and areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
