Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Alabama LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience by assisting customers, processing sales at the register, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. You will help with unloading trucks and restocking as needed while upholding safety and courtesy.

This role emphasizes reliable communication, teamwork with colleagues and leaders, and the ability to follow instructions and adapt to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presenting areas neatly.
• Other duties as assigned.
