Job summary

Family Dollar in Tifton, GA, is seeking a part-time associate to assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and keep the store stocked and clean. You will protect cash and company assets while delivering friendly, professional service to customers and teammates.

Ideal candidates have prior retail or service experience, are able to follow instructions, and can lift 30–50 lbs. You’ll join a diverse team and support daily store operations with strong organizational and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
