Job summary

Family Dollar in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock merchandise, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, teamwork with store leaders, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform routine store duties. Part-time, on-site position with shared responsibilities across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and do frequent walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned*.
