Job summary

Family Dollar in Millen, GA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle cash transactions, stock, unload merchandise, and maintain a clean store environment while upholding safety and professionalism.

The role requires good interpersonal skills, reliability, and physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting 30–50 lbs and standing for long periods. Part-time position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment following productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, keeping areas neat.
