Family Dollar in McIntosh, Alabama is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior retail or service experience is preferred, and you must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
