Job summary

Family Dollar is hiring a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience at our Archer, FL store. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help stock and maintain the store’s appearance.

The role requires strong customer service, communication and organizational skills, with physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. This is a part-time, in-store position offering exposure to all store duties and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned*.
